A subcontractor is an individual or (in many cases) a company that signs a contract for the performance of one part or all of the obligations arising from the contract of another. Many companies use technology consultants to create computers, create business networks, maintain devices, systems and servers, develop websites, and troubleshoot ongoing issues. Some technology contractors specialize in information technology. Others offer a wider range of services, including setting up telephony and security systems and managing the rental of copies or phones. In addition to managing manual tasks, technology companies help companies develop language, data, and information strategies, recommend specific purchases of devices and software, and provide training to staff.
